Compassion
With the three required items to cleanse the shrine (the tainted glyph, the sigil, and the mantra), it is now time to restore the true meaning of Compassion to the city of Britain...
- Follow the path back through Britain city to the Shrine of Compassion. Place the Glyph and the Sigil upon the broken alter. Enter the Mantra (MU), and watch as the power of the virtues restores the Shrine to its original, pristine state. You will be given the option to advance in one Stat. If you are "Clumsy" right now, I HIGHLY recommend you take the Dexterity Bonus so you can learn the Level 2 Sword, Bow, and Staff moves from the trainiers in Britain and Paws. If you are already "Nimble", take the Strength Bonus. You don't really need more mana for spells right now, and more useful fighting moves won't be available until after your next chance at a Stat Bonus anyway.
- Return to Britain city and speak with its people again. You'll find that their attitudes toward the poor and cripple are now inline with true compassion. Speaking with the Mayor you find out that Killigan still seems to be acting weird. Better keep an eye on him. Also go and inform Lord British of your progress. You'll find out that his astronomers have noticed something odd about the moons and that they will continue investigating to find out more.
- Return to the Magery Room in the castle. With the Shrine cleansed, the First Circle of Magic has opened and you can bind the spells you have found for it so far. You should have a Heal, Lightning, and Light Scroll by now. If not, check the Magic section of my page for where they can be located. Bind these spells and return to your room (or wherever you're stashing your items) and drop off any items you won't need. You won't need any Sigils until MUCH later in the game, so I recommend stashing them when you're done with them. Just carry a few heal and cure potions and whatever else you really feel you'll need. You won't get a chance to come back to your stash until quite a bit after you meet up with Raven.
- Make sure you have the Rune with you and head to the Britain Docks to meet up with Raven. She'll make sure you've double-checked that did everything you need to do here in Britain, and will then take you to meet her boss...
