The Complete Guide to Ultima VIII: Pagan
After you restored Balance to Serpent Isle, the Guardian's hand ripped through the void and pulled you into one of his own domains: Pagan. Alone for the first time in many, many years, you are dropped onto this world of eternal night. To escape from this world you must learn its twisted ways of magic and take dominion of the very Ether itself. Your friends are praying for your return. Don't let them down!

Important Note: This guide assumes you have the PATCH installed in the game. If you've bought
a copy of the EA Classics version of the game, or got the game with the Ultima Collection CD (sold individually or with the Dragon Edition of Ultima 9), the patch was already included. For those of you (like me) who have
the older versions of the game, you will need to download the patch. You can check if you have the patch by typing
Ctrl+V in the game. If it says version 2.12, you have it. If it's anything less, you don't. If you come across
something in the walkthrough that doesn't seem to match your game, make sure you have the patch. That may be the
reason why. You can download it here. There are English, German,
and French versions. Click on the appropriate language to download it.
Translations: A visitor to my site was kind enough to ask if he could make a Greek translation of my guide. I've made a new sidebar link for this purpose. If anyone else out there would like to make a translation, I have no absolutely no problems with that at all as long as you link back to my site. The Lost Vale was an add-on that was planned for U8 but never made. You can download some pictures here if you want to see what it would've been like. The story had to do with the last of the Zealans that Hydros and Lithos sealed away in a place called the Lost Vale. Well, I guess that's where they'll stay now!
